Adult Social Care — CQC Regulated

Registration, compliance and statutory assessment support for adult social care.

For domiciliary care, supported living and residential providers — from CQC registration through to Mental Capacity Act, DoLS and Care Act assessment work, delivered by qualified, Social Work England-registered social workers.

What we offer

Support across the full lifecycle of an adult social care service.

Pick a single service or an ongoing retainer — every engagement starts with a fixed-scope proposal. Full detail on each service is set out below.

Registration & Set-Up

CQC Registration Support

End-to-end support through CQC registration — business plan, Statement of Purpose, policy suite build, and premises readiness — drawn from direct provider registration experience on the children's side, applied to the CQC framework.

Registration Preparation Visits

An independent walk-through of the service ahead of registration, checking premises, documentation and staff readiness against CQC's fundamental standards.

Mock CQC Registration Interviews

A realistic rehearsal of the Registered Manager registration interview, with structured feedback so you go in prepared.

Quality & Independent Oversight

Quality Assurance & Deep Dive Audits

A structured review of practice, records and outcomes across the service, identifying strengths and risks before they show up at inspection.

Compliance Audits

Audits benchmarked directly against CQC's fundamental standards, with a clear action plan for anything that falls short.

Independent Investigations & Safeguarding Adults Review Support

Independent investigation of safeguarding concerns, complaints or serious incidents, including support with safeguarding adults reviews (SARs).

External Supervisions

Independent, reflective supervision for Registered Managers and senior staff, separate from internal line management.

People & Systems

HR & Recruitment Support

Support with recruiting, inducting and retaining care staff, including safer recruitment practice.

Reporting & Recording Systems

Practical, audit-ready recording systems for care notes, incidents and care planning that stand up to inspection scrutiny.

Management Monitoring Systems

Monitoring tools that give Registered Managers early sight of emerging issues, rather than finding out at the next audit.

Policies & Procedures

A full, up-to-date policy suite reflecting current legislation and best practice, written for daily use by staff rather than filed away for inspection.

DBS Services

Support processing and tracking DBS checks for staff as part of safer recruitment.

Coaching & Training

Coaching & Mentoring

One-to-one coaching and mentoring for Registered Managers, particularly useful when stepping into a new role or preparing for inspection.

Training

Bespoke and statutory CPD training for care teams, covering safeguarding, mental capacity and regulatory requirements.

Statutory & Legal Assessments (Adult Social Care)

Mental Capacity Act Assessments

Assessments of a person's capacity to make specific decisions, carried out in line with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 by qualified, experienced social workers.

Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS) Assessments

Best Interests Assessments and related DoLS work, drawing on postgraduate Best Interests Assessor qualification and direct hospital discharge and community practice experience.

Care Act Needs & Eligibility Assessments

Statutory needs and eligibility assessments under the Care Act 2014, identifying what support a person is entitled to and how it should be met.

Expert Witness Statements & Court Reports

Expert witness statements and court reports for tribunal and court proceedings, prepared by qualified, Social Work England-registered social workers.

Lasting Power of Attorney (LPA) Support

LPA Setup & Guidance

A Lasting Power of Attorney lets someone appoint one or more trusted people to make decisions on their behalf if they're ever unable to do so — covering health and welfare decisions, financial affairs, or both. We guide donors and their families through the whole process, including home visits, so the right type of LPA is chosen and correctly completed.

Health & Welfare vs Property & Financial Affairs LPAs

A Health and Welfare LPA can only be used once the donor has lost capacity to make their own decisions. A Property and Financial Affairs LPA can be set up to be used immediately or only once capacity is lost, depending on the donor's wishes — we explain the difference clearly so the right choice is made from the outset.

Certificate Provider Role

Every LPA must be certified by an independent Certificate Provider, who confirms the donor understands what they're signing, is not under pressure, and has the capacity to make the decision. Our team can act as your Certificate Provider, drawing on postgraduate Best Interests Assessor training and direct experience of Mental Capacity Act assessments.

Registration with the Office of the Public Guardian

An LPA only becomes active once it's registered with the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG). We handle the registration process on your behalf to help avoid delays or errors that could hold up your application.

Checking an Existing LPA's Status

If you've already registered an LPA and want to confirm its status, or need help understanding what's been registered, we can check this with the OPG on your behalf.
